Elemental Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 22, 2016

Elemental understands that your privacy is important. This policy sets out what information we collect about you and how we use it when you access and use Elemental sites, services, mobile apps, products, and content (the “Services”).

Information We May Collect

Technical Data: Certain information may be automatically provided to us when you use the Services, such as your IP address, device ID and type, operating system, date and time of access, and other technical information. If you do not have an Elemental account, we may assign a random username and password in order to remember you and your preferences.

Account Information: When you sign up for an account with us, we collect your name, email address, and password. We may use third-party services, such as Twitter, Google or Facebook for account registration and authentication, in which case, any data you provide will be governed by those third-party privacy policies. You may be able to adjust what information is available to us via your account settings on those third-party services.

Social Media Information: If you connect your Elemental account to any of your social media accounts, for example, in order to post recipe cards to your Facebook or Twitter account, then we may be given access to information you have provided that social media company. Such information may include your profile name, user ID, gender, location and any other information that you have made public on those services. If we gain access to such information, we will handle it according to this Privacy Policy.

Do Not Track

The Services do not support Do Not Track settings.

How We Use Information

The information we collect may be used for a variety of purposes, including for authenticating your account, analytics, accessing third party social media accounts, and to diagnose and deal with problems. We may also use your contact information to respond to your queries, to inform you of changes to our Services, and to send you additional information we believe to be relevant to you. Connecting your account to a third-party social media service may also allow Elemental to post information to that third-party account and share items on your behalf.

Disclosure of Information

As a general rule, Elemental does not share your personal information outside the company. Elemental will not sell your personal information.

We may disclose your personal information with third parties in limited circumstances, including: (1) with your consent; (2) to a vendor or partner who meets our data protection standards; (3) to protect Elemental’s property or users; or (4) when we have a good faith belief it is required by law, such as pursuant to a subpoena or other legal process.

Children

The Elemental App is intended for use by adults of legal drinking age. We do not intend to collect the information of children. If, however, you become aware that a child has shared information with us, please contact us at privacy@dzus.co.

Changes

Elemental may change this policy from time to time, and if we do we will post any changes on this page. If you continue to use the Services after those changes go into effect, you agree to the revised policy. If the changes are significant, we may provide more prominent notice or get your consent as required by law. Archived versions of this Policy can be found here.
